Networking Lunch - "Staying Safe through the Holiday Season"
Boston native Rania Mankarious received a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. Citing a personal mission to serve families and engage the public to better society, she began consulting with Crime Stoppers in 2006. In March of 2013, she was chosen to head the organization.
Rania has energized Houston's only non-profit dedicated to public safety and ushered in two of Crime Stoppers most profitable fundraisers. She launched Mothers Against Crime, a philanthropic society of concerned mothers; developed innovative programs and applications to protect students, police and fire fighters; and led a Capital Campaign to renovate a city block in Midtown for the Harris County Sheriff's Office Memorial Garden and the first Headquarters of Crime Stoppers. In a short time, the ambitious mother of three has lifted a Houston institution to new heights.
