Networking Lunch - The Copy Corner Story
Larry Hodges earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M a year later than expected
in 1989. During his senior year in 1988, he along with 2 friends launched Copy
Corner. In 1998 he put together a group to buy the local DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks
restaurants. He now owns multiple DoubleDave’s restaurants, located from
College Station to the outskirts of Houston.
Like many Aggies, Larry strongly believes in the importance of service and in the
power of giving. He has served Texas A&M through the 12th Man Foundation and
Mays Business School, and is often a guest lecturer on campus speaking about
service and entrepreneurship. An active donor to The Association of Former
Students, the 12th Man Foundation and a member of the Texas A&M Foundation’s
Legacy Society, Copy Corner celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013 by establishing
the Copy Corner Freshman Business Initiative Excellence Fund in the Mays College
His past board service in the Bryan-College Station community includes the BCS
Chamber of Commerce, the College Station Education Foundation, the Community
Foundation of the Brazos Valley, the Bryan-College Station Convention and Visitors
Bureau and the Research Valley Partnership.
Larry is most proud of his two children. Hank, 18, is a senior at College Station High
School and Lauren, 22, is a recent graduate of the University of Texas in Austin
currently interning in Washington D.C.
From its humble beginnings of renting old equipment, Copy Corner has grown to one of College Station’s most recognizable names in copying and duplicating business services. Copy Corner has received several awards for the excellent service it consistently offers to customers and for the role Copy Corner plays in the community. Come hear "a few lessons learned along the way" from the man at the center of this amazing story - Larry Hodges, founder and owner of Copy Corner.
