CHC WESTBURY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL – SPRING 2008

Westbury Community Hospital, scheduled to open in Spring 2008, will have approximately 135 beds with a major emphasis on in-patient psychiatric care.

We are currently seeking the following positions: Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Behavioral Health to help facilitate the start-up and accreditation of the facility. While the hospital is scheduled to open in March or April 2008, we are looking to fill these positions in early November 2007.

DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Position Description:

The Director of Behavioral Health will oversee the planning, organization, direction, and coordination of mental health services for both in-patient and Partial Hospital Programs. Position is part of the interdisciplinary management team and will identify systemic issues in the clinical services and develop and implement corrective strategies to enhance the effectiveness or the program for the facility.

Required Experience:

Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field with LCSW, LMFT, or LPC licensure required. Board approved supervisor certification a plus. All degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited college/university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Incumbent must have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience and two 2 years supervisory experience.

Must have extensive knowledge in the areas of mental health and substance abuse evaluation, treatment, program operations, state and federal requirements.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills required.
