Return to Aggieland. A place to continue the time honored traditions you love and respect. Come hear City of College Station Forestry and Urban Landscape Manger Ross Albrecht (Class of ’84) discuss the development of the latest tradition in Aggieland, the Aggie Field of Honor.
The Aggie Field of Honor concept has been on the minds of numerous individuals and groups since the late 1970s. In the early 2000s, this concept and the City of College Station's impending need for a new municipal cemetery came together, and were finally realized with City Council action in July of 2006.
The Memorial Cemetery will be located at 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway, on the northwest corner of FM 2818 and FM 60 on 56.57 acres of land. At least 20 acres will be designated as the Aggie Field of Honor. This section of the Municipal Cemetery will be open to students, former students, faculty, staff, family and friends of Texas A&M University.
Ross will give with a brief presentation and answer any questions you may have about this latest development in Aggieland. Informational folders will also be available for interested members to take home.
