Miles Marks, is President of the 12th Man Foundation at Texas A&M www.12thmanfoundation.com. He graduated in 1979 with a BBA in Accounting and in 1981, completed his MBA in Management. Miles enjoyed a 16-year career in the banking industry in Houston, the last 11 of those with Chase Bank. In 1997, A&M called and the Marks family moved back to College Station for Miles to take over the reins of the 12th Man Foundation. The Foundation's mission is: Funding scholarships, programs and facilities in support of Championship athletics.
In his eleven years at the 12th Man Foundation, football season ticket sales have increased from 15,000 to more than 28,000. Total donations of $6.5 million in 1997 grew to more than $36 million in 2008. 12th Man Membership has increased to more than 22,000 families during that same period.
Current projects include completion of the Phase II Championship Vision Campaign, to fund the McFerrin Athletic Center for football and track, the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball addition to Reed Arena, and beginning a campaign for the complete renovation of Olsen Field. Miles serves in many campus roles, committees and task forces at Texas A&M including the Development Strategy Council for coordination of all campus fundraising. His family is active in the community and at Central Baptist Church.
Miles is the husband to Molly, class of '82, and dad to third-generation Aggie, Elizabeth Marks Meeh ‘08 and to Margaret, a freshman at Pepperdine University who plans to do her graduate work in the Mays Business School.
